Pastor Rick McLeod and his wife, Diane, have five sons and have been serving the Southside fellowship since spring of 2003.
In his ministry Pastor Rick emphasizes expository preaching of the Bible with the purpose of preparing God's people that they may grow in their knowledge and love for God and be equipped to better share the saving love of Jesus. Emphasizing one-on-one discipleship, leadership training, the believers giftedness and responsibility for ministry, as well as the importance of small group ministry, he seeks to prepare each believer with the maturity and skills to use their individual gifts for the kingdom of God.
Rick served as solo and senior pastor in the Baptist General Conference for 15 years. He was involved with the Navigators while in college and later with M-2 Prison Ministries at San Quentin, California. Prior to attending seminary he served missions on a short-term basis with Overseas Crusades in Taiwan. While in seminary, Rick worked with adolescence in an intensive inpatient program of a local hospital and served as Director of College ministry in his church.
He is a graduate of San Jose State University, having majored in Geography, and a graduate of Talbot Seminary, the Graduate School of Theology of Biola University, earning Masters Degree in Theology.
